Inspired by a traditional Japanese candle holder, this lantern sits on a scalloped steel ring with a wooden base made from regionally sourced hardwood. It has a simple button switch and a cord made from modern lamp wire with a decorative cloth covering, ending in a traditional plug.
This lamp can be used for focused light or gentle illumination, depending on how it is turned. Placed against a wall it can help to display artwork or provide a dramatic accent.
